Obituary for Joseph Anthony Santone
Joseph Anthony Santone, age 64, of Stratford, passed away unexpectedly October 4, 2018 at his home.
Joe was a lifelong Stratford resident and the son of the late Anthony and Antoinette (Carozza) Santone. Â
A graduate of the Bullard Havens Technical School Auto Shop Program, Class of 1971, Joe was currently employed by XPO Logistics (formerly Con-Way Freight) in the Bridgeport terminal as truck driver. Joe had previously driven for various long haul trucking companies traveling extensively across the country.
Applying the skills learned in technical school, Joe enjoyed working on his vehicles, especially restoring his VW Bug, Triumph motorcycle and maintaining the Harley Davidsons he owned over the years. Joe, always with a smile and a happy-go-lucky attitude, looked forward to various trips, spending the holidays with his cousins in the Waterbury area and time with his many friends.
He was predeceased by his brother, Anthony M. Santone and survived by many cousins and good friends.
Friends are invited to attend his funeral service celebrated by Deacon John Piatak on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford.
Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Stratford.
