Obituary for Anna (Marino) Lombard
Anna (Marino) Lombard, age 98, of Shelton and previously of Fairfield, beloved wife for 60 years of the late Michael Lombard passed away Thursday, December 6, 2018 in Saint Joseph’s Manor, Trumbull, CT.Â
Anna was born September 25, 1920 in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Frank and Rose (Cuda) Marino.
Anna and Michael lived in Fairfield for many years before moving to Shelton in 1992. She was a retired floor manager for SS Kresge Department Store. While working there she developed wonderful relationships with those she worked with and treated them like family.
Anna enjoyed spending time with her family especially her adored nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. She treated her brother’s and sister’s children as if they were her own, always bringing gifts for the smallest of occasions.
Anna was a kind and generous soul. She loved being with her girlfriends for lunches, loved to bowl and was always ready to go out, whether it was to a broadway show, a new restaurant or just shopping at the mall. Her dear presence will be remembered by so many.Â
She is survived by her brother Frank Marino Jr., and sister, Frances Alena; and several nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by four siblings, Theresa Pane, Patrick Marino, Mary Mehalik and Angela Romano as well as several brothers-in-law and sisters- in-law.Â
Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in Saint Mark Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford.
Interment will follow in Saint Michael’s Cemetery, Stratford.
Friends may visit with her family Tuesday morning before Mass time from 9:00 am to 10:00 am in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford.
